We were disappointed to learn there are no longer Corbridges in Corbridge. But we had a blast being the Corbridges there for a while! I am a Corbridge. We are out there, but we are not common. When Josh left for England he asked my Mom and Dad if they'd like to visit him and visit Corbridge? And that is how this Adventure began! We did not know what to expect when we got there. It was fun to learn that Corbridge has a long history dating back to Roman times. It is also the first town along the Hayden Wall. ( wiki link) Welcoming Sign as you enter Corbridge We had to look in every window front that had Corbridge in it's title! The Roman sites made this trip everything I'd hope it would be Josh representing Corbridge on the Hayden Wall Mailing post cards from Corbridge England to all the Corbridges back home Our B&B host and the best Corbridge historian! I love history! Seeing the ruins of Corbridge and Haydens wall was a great way for me to explore England! I fully plan on doing more historical trips. And yes! I will have to throw in some adventures too. This is a idea of what the second site looked like. There is eveidence of a even older site.

Train ride from Endinbraugh to Lake District England. Trains are the best way to travel! A short walk from the train startion to our B&B and the fun continues Doing what I love doing While Scott and Josh were out doing crazy things. ( No I will not be scaling a mountain cliff anytime soon!) My parents and I got to spend time walking the countryside and shopping in town. doing what my Mom loves doing!

Waiting for the bus to take us back to our Coastal Condo. I am not a fan of bus transportation. Edinbaugh however does it right! We did a lot of pier walks! Early morning Hike to Aurthur's Seat We stayed in a coastal condo that had easy bus access to the city. It was a good place to recharge. I will definitely return to Scotland. Next time it will be my main destination. Waiting for our bus to take us to Nessy We tried to do a bus tour up thru the Highlands to see Nessy, you know, the Loch Nest Monster! We only go halfway when our bus had to turn around. Road closure. We were a little disappointed. But now I have a reason to go back, and this time I'm doing at least part of the Highlands with a backpack on. Scotland has very friendly backpacking rules. Fingers Crossed this post gets an update!
